I'm a software engineer based in Malaysia. Building stuff has always been my outlet — from Android apps years ago to web products today. I seldom work alone; most of what I build is with a group of software engineer friends — the kofikodr/s — who are just as into shipping things as I am.
The recent wave of AI tooling has changed how we work. We write a lot more software now and it's genuinely fun in a way it hasn't been in a while. Claude, coding agents, and other AI tools are a core part of our workflow. In fact, most of this site is written and maintained by them, with me directing the work.
Our main project right now is simplerbook, a appointment / events / table booking tool for small businesses. We're gaining traction and learning a lot along the way. We've also got a couple more things in the pipeline — an AI-powered diff tool and a diet tracking app for Android.
This site is where I share the learnings — what works, what doesn't, and what it's actually like to build products with AI-assisted tooling. If that sounds interesting, the blog is where it all lives.
